Attributes

In CHIMA Adventures there are 5 main attributes:

Physical attributes
Strength
Agility
Stamina

Mental attributes
Intellect
Spirit

Each adventurer starts their journey by rolling some dice to determine what these attributes are. For each attribute each player rolls 4 dice, then remove the die with the lowest number on it, then add up the numbers.

i.e.: player rolls 5, 4, 1 and 6. Removes the die with the 1 on it, then adds up the numbers: This adventurer's strength attribute will be 15!

The average value for  each attribute is 9. It’s an average number, not too great but not too little either. Having 12 in any value is a real accomplishment. 15 in any attribute is in any way an outstanding feat of strength, Adventurers with attributes of 15 strength or agility are known as the great champions of history. The maximum value you can hit in each attribute is 18. This counts as a legendary accomplishment, for instance very few heroes can claim the title: so-and-so The Immovable Mountain for having 18 stamina or so-and-so the Lightning Fist for having 18 agility! There is no natural way to reach 20 in any attribute – which also means that some magic must be the way! Let’s see what each of the attributes do!

Strength

Pure physical muscle, the ability to lift, swing, throw and otherwise manipulate heavy objects. The more strength you have the more powerful your melee attacks are and the larger the weapons may be that are available to the adventurer. Strength increases the damage of your heavy melee weapons by 1 for every point over 10.

Agility

This attribute covers dexterity, speed, and flexibility and determines for accurate your actions are. Agility is useful when handling smaller or ranged weapons as well as increasing your melee and ranged defense. Agility increases your speed roll by one for every point over 10, and contributes to your combat potential with small melee or ranged weapons.

Stamina

Constitution, durability and generic sturdiness fall under this attribute, it determines how tough and resilient you are and how much Health Points you have. Every hero starts with 100 Health Points. Every stamina point over 10 adds +20 Health Points. If your health points hit 0 your character is knocked out and will remain so until they get healed back to at least half their health.

Intellect

Mental quickness, intelligence, mind power, ability to perceive and understand. A minimum amount of 13 intellect is required to learn any magic skills and intellect boosts the effectiveness of magical attacks and defense.

Spirit

Intuition, creativity, instinct and even regeneration belong here. A minimum amount of 13 spirit is required to learn any magic skills and spirit boosts the effectiveness of magical attacks and defense.
