In CHIMA Adventures there are 10 playable tribes you can
choose from: Lion, Eagle, Phoenix, Raven, Bear, Wolf, Croc, Tiger, Gorilla and
Rhino. Each tribe represents a very special community with different values,
interests and goals. Make sure to play them accordingly!
The Lion Tribe
The noble Lions are the Guardians of the Sacred Chi Pool,
the stalwart protectors of peace and harmony in Chima. They preserve the
balance between the other tribes and distribute Chi justly. They also hold the
monthly Speedorz Races. Honour, courage, justice and truth guide their tribe,
discipline and righteousness are their weapons. They are also skilled fighters
who don’t mind a feast and some fun every once in a while – as long as it’s not
breaking any of the rules! Once a Lion’s friend will always be a Lion’s friend
and they will stand up for you no matter what.
The Croc Tribe
The reckless Crocs are almost the total opposites of the
Lions: impulsive, spontaneous, spur of the moment tribe, who seem to want to
settle all arguments with fighting. They are vicious and well trained warriors
who will not stop at anything till they achieve their victory. They will do as
they please, when they please, and how they please. You should not count on
mercy and compassion from them under any circumstance but they will respect you
if you are a strong fighter. As long as you remain strong…
The Eagle Tribe
The Eagles are solitary creatures who rule the sky over
Chima. Pure, knowledgeable, educated and sophisticated tribe with the most
elaborate technology. They keep their machines, feathers, weapons and most of
all their books extremely clean and organized. Education is everything to the
Eagles, all hatchlings spend at least 100 years studying the history, science
and art of Chima! They are the official record keepers of all relevant things
that happen, the Eagle library if famous for its relentless scribes who jot
down every single event.
The Raven Tribe
These messy birds have one thing in mind: Profit! They will
buy, sell, recycle, steal, cheat, fight, loot – whatever it takes to end up
with a few more coins than what they started with even if it means double-crossing
another tribe – even if it’s their own! Everything revolves around money for
them and their whole tribe is based on how much money they have: the more money
you have the more important you are and the more privileges you get. Every
month The Ravens compare how much money they made and the one with the most
profit gets the most Chi Orbs as well! Which they might decide to sell for a
profit…
The Wolf Tribe
One for all and all for one – this is what the wolves live
by. If you mess with one of them you mess with the whole pack, if you mess with
the pack you mess with the pack leader. Individual interests and preferences do
not matter, it’s all about the good of the tribe: if that means war then it’s
war, if that means retreat then it’s retreat. In the pack no one is ever on
their own, all food, treasure, weapons and vehicles are shared, no one is rich
and no one is poor. Don’t let this sensitivity fool you though, in this vicious
tribe of fighters you’ve got to pull your weight!
The Phoenix Tribe
Very little is known of the mysterious Phoenix tribe, for a
long time the other tribes didn’t even know they existed! Nestled in the
protective arms of the flying Mount Cavora the Phoenix Tribe oversees the whole
of Chima since the beginning of time. They only interfere with the land if it’s
absolutely necessary to maintain its existence. Their goals, motives and values
are either hidden or very hard to understand for the rest of the tribes so
therefore there is a lot of mistrust and doubt towards them. Secret, mystery
and magic shroud this tribe whose next move is always a surprise. They are
intense, serious and incredibly powerful.
The Royal Guard
Once known as the Tunnelcats fighting the vicious Ice
Hunters before the First Illumination the Tiger Tribe now makes its home inside
Mount Cavora as personal guards and protectors of the Phoenix Tribe. The Tiger
Tribe was saved from certain doom and for that they are forever grateful. From
protected to protector the Tigers learned all they could from the Phoenix warriors
and even took their instruction to the next level –exceeding their masters by
far in combat.
The Gorilla Tribe
A banana, a hammock and the shade of a palm tree is all a
Gorilla needs to be perfectly happy. Add a campfire, some jungle music, fruit drinks
and some more Gorillas and you have yourself the wildest party you’ve ever been
to! Gorillas will party hard all night and they will rest hard all day… They
have to if they want to be ready for the next party tonight! You will never be
short of fun, jokes and more parties if you stay with the Gorilla tribe. Just
don’t be a party pooper and don’t mention the ‘W’ word. Nobody likes the stare
of an angry Gorilla. No, really.
The Bear Tribe
Sleep then eat. Sleep some more. Eat. Sleep. Sleep. Sleep.
Eat, nap, eat, eat, sleep. Have a snack, then a snooze. It’s amazing that the
Bears ever accomplish anything. But apparently they do. They have villages,
machines, Speedorz and food. The most misunderstood tribe on Chima is not as
lazy as it might seem, they just spend most of their time in the Dreamworld.
What’s that like? Try asking a Bear because only they can enter it. That’s
where they craft their weapons and machines or build their buildings, even
fight some of their battles! But to the rest of us it just looks like sleeping.
The Rhino Tribe
As simple as a rock. As hard as a rock. As smart as a rock…
Rock for weapons, rock for lunch, rock for sleeping on, rock for music... These
Rockers will crush you with their hammers in an instant if they think you’re up
to no good or they will crush you with their hugs if they think you’re
adorable! They think most problems can be resolved by simply crushing it. It’s
actually surprising how often it works… Their minds might be simple and their
hide covered in dust, but the heart of a Rhino will always be huge and will
always be in the right place.
Each player will be leaving their tribe from time to time to
band up and join others on a series of epic adventures to become a Hero of
Chima and eventually a Legend of Chima! But that doesn’t mean that the Heroes
will never return. In fact as they grow stronger and stronger their tribe
instructors will train them in the secret ways of Tribal Hero Abilities! Tribal
Abilities can only be used once per battle and get stronger and stronger as the
Chima Hero levels up.
